INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Cook the Rice. Prepare the Japanese rice or brown rice according to the package instructions until tender and fluffy. Once cooked, gently fluff the rice with a fork or rice paddle and allow it to cool slightly while preparing the remaining ingredients.

2. Roast the Vegetables. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the broccoli florets on a baking tray, lightly drizzle with olive oil, and season with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper. Roast for 15–18 minutes until lightly caramelized yet still tender. Meanwhile, cook the edamame according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.

3. Prepare the Fresh Vegetables. Wash and dry the cucumber and carrots thoroughly. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds and julienne the carrots into fine strips. Slice the avocado just before assembling the bowl to keep it fresh and vibrant.

4. Make the Dressing. In a small bowl, whisk together the Biobali Sesame Oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup (or honey), grated ginger, and toasted sesame seeds until well combined. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed for your preferred balance of savory and sweetness.

5. Prepare the Gari. Spoon the Biobali Gari into a small bowl and gently separate the ginger slices if they are sticking together. This allows the pickled ginger to distribute evenly throughout the bowl, adding refreshing flavor to every bite.

6. Assemble the Rice Bowl. Spoon the warm rice into a large serving bowl as the base. Arrange the roasted broccoli, edamame, cucumber, carrots, avocado slices, and Biobali Gari in separate sections around the rice to create a colorful presentation.

7. Add the Finishing Touches. Drizzle the sesame dressing evenly over the bowl. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions, then garnish with optional toppings such as nori strips, pickled radish, crispy shallots, or chili flakes for extra texture and flavor.

8. Serve Immediately. Enjoy the bowl while the rice is still slightly warm and the vegetables remain crisp. Toss everything together before eating so the dressing coats each ingredient evenly, creating a balanced combination of fresh vegetables, fluffy rice, and the bright, tangy flavor of Biobali Gari.
